With 7 mazes, Universal promises a spooky and exciting night. They have a Jabbawockeez live show and “mega scare zones” featuring characters from infamous movies and TV shows such as The Purge, the Exorcist, and American Horror Story. Cinespia Cemetery Screenings
To put a spooky twist on movie watching, Cinespia has several events taking place in famous LA cemetaries. Watch your favorite cult Halloween movies, partake in dance parties and other mischief around the resting place of celebrities such as Rudolph Valentino. Make sure to get there early as this is a popular event and don’t forget a lawn blanket.

Wicked Lit Immersive Theatre
Come see live adaptions of classic horror literature! This year’s show will feature short plays such as H.P. Lovecraft’s FROM BEYOND, ANANSI AND THE DEMONS, Ellen Glasgow’s THE SHADOWY THIRD. This is an outdoor moving show, so be prepared to walk and climb a lot of stairs. The show runs about three hours and the website warns it will be very scary.

Tim Burton’s the Nightmare Before Christmas Live with Danny Elfman
Bring a friend and a cozy blanket to the Hollywood bowl. “The Nightmare Before Christmas” is returning for Halloween with Danny Elfman performing once again as Jack Skellington. The show will feature an orchestra and chorus performing the soundtrack to the Tim Burton stop-motion animated movie live to screen.

Horror Made Here
Warner Brothers Studio will be giving special twilight tours of the production lot with screenings of The Conjuring and Conjuring 2. The tour will show visitors classic set locations and give insider tales of the most iconic horror films such as The Exorcist, The Lost Boys, Gremlins, House of Wax, HBO’s True Blood. Movie themed refreshments and treats are included in this exclusive Halloween package.

LACMA Local: Zombie
This event will feature a viewing of Guillermo del Toro: At Home with Monsters, followed by a hands-on “Intro to Zombie” workshop. Visitors will learn how to act, dress, and walk like zombies then haunt LACMA in a short zombie walk through campus. (Makeup will be provided for light instruction. Participants are encouraged to bring their own clothes for distressing.)

Dark Harbor
