Halloween is one of the best times of the year. You can dress up as anything you want and not be judged for it. Being in college on Halloween is a stressful time for some, between picking out a costume idea, paying for the costume, trying to be original and actually executing it. As we all know, college students are on a strict budget so here are 15 easy DIY Halloween costumes on a college budget.
1. Â Â Â Â Rosie the Riveter—You can do it!
What you need to do: Â Get a blue button-up shirt and roll the sleeves up to the elbow. Pull back your hair with a red bandana, and if you can, make a big 1950s pin curl in the front. Complete the Rosie look with some red lipstick and winged eyeliner.
2. Â Â Â Â Lady Gaga
What you need to do: Wear a pair of black fishnet tights, a pair of black boy shorts, a leather jacket, and a studded bra top. Add black thigh-high boots. Take two cans and roll your hair to re-create Gaga’s hairstyle.
3. Â Â Â Â Energizer Bunny
What you need to do: Dress in all pink, add a cottontail, bunny ears and all black sunglasses. Get a kid-size drum and print out a picture of the Energizer logo.
4. Skeleton
What you need to do: Dress in all black, preferably an all black jumpsuit that you don’t mind drawing on. Use a fabric pen or white chalk to draw your skeleton figure, and with face paint/makeup create a skull that looks realistic.
5. Â Â Â Â Audrey Hepburn
What you need to do: Wear an all black dress and some long black gloves, and layer multiple pearl necklaces. Pull your hair into a sleek updo style, and accessorize with a tiara, black big-framed sunglasses, and a cigarette holder.
6. Â Â Â Â Grumpy Cat

What you need to do: Around your eyes, paint dark brown circles and use white makeup or face paint to make the rest of your face look a lighter color. Paint on a small cat nose and maybe some whiskers. Dress in white and brown. Don’t forget to add some cat ears!
7. Â Poison Ivy
What you need to do: Get a green leotard and package of fake leaves. Hot-glue the fake leaves to the leotard. Wear a pair of green tights. To complete the look, get a red wig or temporary red hair color.
8. Scarecrow
What you need to do: Wear a baggy flannel shirt and a pair of jeans with a big floppy hat. Use a pink or orange blush on the apples of your cheek, use eyeliner to draw on stitches and add in a dramatic eye to really pull the look all together.
 9. American Horror Story; Freak Show
What you need to do: Start by using white face paint as a base, use black eyeliner and draw yourself a creepy clown smile. Add dripping eyeliner or mascara for a crying effect on one of the eyes, and then carefully splatter face paint on the other eye. Dress in all black. Get creative with this and put your own spin of a freak show.
10. Sophia Grace and Rosie

What you have to do: Get your BFF, and wear matching outfits. Add glitter, tutus, tiaras, and microphones are musts!

What you need to do: Get together with a small group of friends, wear pink shirts and pleated skirts, and to complete the look, in one of the shirts cut holes in it like Regina George, so your bra peeks through!
12. Â Cher and Dionne— As if!
What you have to do:
For Cher– Wear a pleated schoolgirl skirt and a yellow cardigan sweater set. Make sure to wear a black headband and try to dig up your old flip phone.
For Dionne– Wear a pleated brown skirt with a maroon top and a black cardigan. Complete Dionne’s look with her signature hat!
13. Kiss

What you need to do: Get a group of four friends and get completely decked out in black and silver from head to toe. Make sure to throw in some studded belts, silver jewelry and some knee high black-heeled boots. Pick which member of Kiss fits your personality, and re-create the iconic makeup look for each member. Oh, and don’t forget the crazy hairstyles!
14. Beanie Babies

What you need to do: Pick out your favorite beanie baby and get a pair of animal ears, paint on a small nose or whiskers if necessary. Wear an outfit similar to the animal and get a piece of paper or cardboard to create a TY heart tag. Don’t forget to add the scanning barcode on the back of the tag!
15. Emojis
What you need to do: Get some construction paper, yellow poster board and large-sized Popsicle sticks and cut the paper into large circles. Get some markers and draw on the emoji expression in which you are trying to re-create. You could even make multiple emojis reflecting the different emojis of the night.
