Unfortunately, winter is right around the corner. Snow is on the way if someone lives in the northeast and that means it is time to trade in the quilted vest for the puffer vest. Here is a list of the top pieces someone needs to be stylish, while also staying warm and cozy this upcoming winter season.Â
Â
1. Sweater Dresses
This trend started on the runway for A/W 20-21 with brands like Jil Sander, Agnona, Bottega Veneta, Balmain, Altuzarra, and Alexander McQueen. It can now be seen in retailers for the beginning of winter in neutral colors and winter pastels.
2. Fringe
This was also seen on the runway for A/W 20-21 brands like Bottega Veneta, Prada, Jil Sander, Dior, Alberta Ferretti, and Area. Even though they showed it in blazers and dresses, the exact opposite of what most of us are wearing at home currently, it is still relevant because it can be downplayed. Fringe is still popular in jeans and tops. Either way the message designers were trying to send was clothing that celebrates movement, even if that is dancing in your living room.Â
3. The Straight Cut Pencil Skirt
If there is an occasion to dress up for or if you are someone who currently gets to work in an office, consider a straight cut pencil skirt. Â Miu Miu, Fendi, Gucci, Prada, Alyx, Balenciaga, Margaret Howell, Gabriela Hearst, and Carolina Herrera showed it on the runway. Many early trendsetters will be ditching the sports-inspired wear for this trend.Â
4. A Full Look in Leather
Mugler, Hermès, Balenciaga, Erdem, and Petar Petrov showed it on the runway for this season.  If someone invested in a supersized leather jacket any time during the last autumn/winter season, well it is once again the hardest-working piece in any wardrobe. Maximize the user-friendly power of any leather pieces someone already owns by styling them all together.
5. Wool or Wool Blend Coat
A wool coat in a winter pastel is a great way to stay cozy and add some color to a winter outfit. Wool coats can be pricey, so a wool blend also keeps people cozy. Some of our favorite winter pastels are the mint leaf and lavender fog.
