5 Summer Fashion Essentials

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Lasell chapter.

Concerts in the summer require a specific type of dress. You want to look good, stay cool, and be able to move. So here are five essentials for any summer concert or festival you’ll be going too!

1.) Cut off denim shorts- These are a must for all summer concerts! With numerous styles and washes available you can get as funky and festive as you want. And if you don’t feel like paying store prices you can even make your own!

2.) Solid color bandeau- This can almost count as two items. No matter what you’re going to need a black or white bandeau to go underneath all the cute tanks you’ll be buying. Or better yet, just grab both!

3.) Sandals with a back- While the gladiator flip flops you just bought are super cute, they’re not that great for a summer music fest. With thousands of people dancing around you, sandals with backs are your best friends. They won’t go missing when you decide to crowd surf.

4.) Pocket bra- Purses are large and pockets are small so where do you put your phone, money, and i.d when at a concert? Easy! Where every other girl does, in her bra! However, to avoid getting your phone soaked with sweat, buy the new JoeyBra. Its a bra that has a side pocket built into it. With more uses than just a summer concert, it’ll be a great investment for the future.

5.) T-shirt crop top- You need a top to go with those cute cut offs you just bought so how about a t-shirt crop top?! Buy one or make one out of one of your old, funky t-shirts, it’ll give you a unique look that no one else at the concert has!
