Harry Styles has captured the hearts of millions. From his 1D days to his blossoming solo career, Styles has always been charismatic, hilarious and honest. Maybe that’s why everybody loves him so much. So we’re going to take a trip down memory lane into Styles’ past.
Â
Okay, can we say “adorable”? Toddler Harry is cute af; don’t you just want to pinch his cheeks or something? A total superstar in the making, he was born in Redditch, Worcestershire on 1 February 1994. Styles has reported that Freddie Mercury and Elvis were big musical influences on him as a young child.
Â
A slightly older Styles shows off a crazy hairstyle, but we forgive you Harry! This photograph was taken during his days at the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School. Many avid Directioners may recall during this time Styles got a job at a local bakery in town.
Â
Styles at his audition for the X Factor! Little did we know this would be the beginning of the classic 1D Harry era.  As the band began to form, Styles contributed a great deal and in the band’s later years wrote multiple hit songs. Some favorites including “Perfect”, “Where Do Broken Hearts Go” and “Stockholm Syndrome,” while contributing immensely to many other songs in the band’s history.
Â
Styles in the full swing of the 1D pandemonium that swept the globe. Remember the giant poster of him on your wall that you ripped out of a crisp J-14? So do we. Those were the days where “What Makes You Beautiful”, “One Thing”, and “I Want” were played on repeat and every girl had a favorite member of One Direction.
Â
Styles evolves as Zayn Malik leaves the band to pursue a solo music career. But Styles, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan stuck it out for one last album before calling it quits in 2015. As Malik left, Styles came into his own style and took on the persona as the band’s “cool guy”. Gotta love the long hair/cool hat combo on Harry.
Â
Finally, we’re all up to date. Styles chopped his luscious long locks to film the movie Dunkirk, and on tour has developed his signature style of wearing extravagant and chic Gucci floral suits. Recently, he is on the first leg of his solo tour. Everyone who’s anyone loves his new album, and he stopped in Boston at the end of September. He’ll be back in town in June 2018 at the TD Garden, if you want to snag some tickets before the show is sold out!
