We’ve laughed with them, we’ve cried with them, and if anyone can relate to us in these trying times, it’s our home girls the Gilmore’s. We’ve followed them through boyfriends and engagements, breakups and Friday night dinners, and now they follow us through the most difficult week of the year: finals.
When your to do list looks as booked as Emily’s social calendar
Having a melt down as big as Paris when she didn’t get into Harvard
Never wasting a second to relax- even if it’s between uploading assignments
When studying has consumed you so much you forgot how to properly interact with other humans
Turning in your final assignment five seconds before it’s due
When you replaced sleep with studying
When you’re running on 12 cups of coffee
But you’re trying to rationalize taking a break to go grab another cup
Getting into the test and forgetting everything you’ve ever learned
Being absolutely done with finals
Getting your final assignments
When a classmate asks how you’re doing on an assignment you didn’t know about
Canceling plans with friends in order to finish your assignments
Knowing at the end of the day that you and your classmates are all in the same boat
Trying to put how you feel into words
Trying to see past the end of the week but it’s looking kind of dreary
Having the -intention- of putting on something other than sweatpants
When it’s 2am and you have two and a half pages of an essay to finish
Coffee
Dumping your last cup of coffee in the trash and walking out of the library like a hero
