With this year forcing everyone to stay home and somehow entertain themselves the easiest and most looked uptrend took over the nation: Self Care. Self cares the idea itself isn’t anything new, but with the latest pandemic, everyone has gotten into it one way or another. This article isn’t just normal self-care. No face masks and lip scrubs today. This article will be about how to self-care with your own mind. Everyone has definitely felt some type of stress and feeling overwhelmed. Self-care doesn’t just have to be making yourself look good, but it’s mainly to make yourself feel good. Here are some tips and tricks to help your mind glow just as your face after a really good face mask!
Â
1. Write in a journal.
Writing in a journal is a really good way to get your feelings out and in the open. By writing them out, it validates your own feelings and beliefs.Â
2. Talk to a friend.
After dealing with a whole pandemic that made us feel isolated, talking to our friends (in a socially distanced way of course!) will really make you feel at peace.
3. Taking a day off.
By taking a day off from school work and life, in general, can really make you feel centered. Of course, not every day, but once a week where you’re done with school work and don’t have much on your plate. Put your phone down, turn off your computer, and just sit with yourself and reevaluate your thoughts and feelings.
Being in college and in a pandemic isn’t easy, so never forget that you have a support system easily at your disposal to help you succeed!
