Milica Sari is a freshman International Business major who plans to minor in Spanish. Originally from Zrenjanin, Serbia, she came to the states in 2007 with her family. She learned English once she moved and not one person would have a clue if she didn’t tell you. Even seeing her everyday and listening to her speak, you would have no idea.Â
This Serbian Princess (as she is refered to in her Instagram bio) is about a whole lot more than just glam and beauty. She may call herself a princess, but in actuality, she is a hard core gym rat. Milica spends six days a week in the gym and each day clocks anywhere from and hour and a half to two hours! This girl is dedicated to workin’ on her fitness!
When asked what she likes most about Lasell, she states, “It’s nice that it’s so close to Boston, and the fact that Lasell is a small school means that the classes are small and personal, which I like. I also love that everyone knows each other. Making friends is easy, I meet a lot of people at the gym, and then I meet their friends, and the process just keeps going.” She is very comfortable with people, so it’s hard not to know who she is. If you are ever in the gym, you are bound to run into her! Even though she lives to work out, she doesn’t have a set schedule, which comes as a bit of a surprise. She just goes with the flow, changing it up and deciding whether it’s leg day or ab day by how she feels.Â
Outside of her obsession for fitness and social life, she likes to play volleyball and go hiking. Something no one knows about Milica is that she swam competitively for eight years when she was younger, starting when she was in Kindergarten. She also used to be involved in things like the honors society and student council. This doesn’t come as a surprise, seeing how good she is with people and school.Â
Fun facts about Milica are that her favorite show is Friday Night Lights and that her pet peeve is loud chewing. I think we can all agree that is a universal irritant. But on a more serious side of Milica, she intends to travel back across the Atlantic and find work in different parts of the world in Marketing and Finance.Â
Her one piece of advice she wishes she new before coming to Lasell is how important it is to know the person you are rooming with. That’s not to say that you have to be from the same town or even country, but just get to know the person you will be spending your year with. After all, they become a part of your life and you need to be comfortable with them.Â
If you see this cutie around campus, don’t be afraid to say a quick hello!
