Want a brownie but don’t want to go through the hassle of making an entire sheet, that’ll take about an hour? Try this recipe that makes a single-serving brownie in less than 10 minutes including prep and cooking time.

Who doesn’t love a quick and easy cheat dessert? It is perfect for a night curled up in a blanket or perfect for a group of friends as an easy perfect serving for everyone!

Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons butter, mild extra virgin olive oil, or neutral oil
  • 1/4 cup (30g) all-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons (35g) sugar
  • 1 1/4 tablespoons (13g) natural unsweetened cocoa powder
  • Pinch kosher salt
  • Tiny pinch of cinnamon, optional
  • 3 tablespoons (44ml) milk, water, or coffee
  • 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons of chocolate chips

** use a decent size to regular-size mug, a small mug will not be big enough

  1. Melt butter, If using butter*
  2. Combine all dry ingredients in a mug, I found using a fork works perfectly
  3. Stir in the wet ingredients. The batter will look thin that’s ok
  4. Cook in the microwave uncovered for 1 minute, let the mug cool for a bit before you take it out it will be hot. May need to vary that time based on the power of your microwave.

It is super yummy with a scoop of your favorite ice cream on top, or whipped cream!

The original recipe calls for 2 tablespoons of cocoa powder but it is honestly way too much to the point where it’s chalky and too chocolatey.
