Reality TV is one of my favorite genres of television. It used to be a guilty pleasure for me, but now I just unapologetically adore it. Here is a list of some of my favorite reality television shows I have watched over the years…
Bachelor in Paradise is the highlight of the entire Bachelor Nation franchise. I stay up-to-date with The Bachelor and The Bachelorette shows to know the cast of the newest Bachelor in Paradise season. It is set on a beach in Mexico and the contestants date each other in hopes of finding love. The drama is juicy and often hilarious. The couples who get engaged at the end of the season usually marry and stay together, which is rare for reality tv romances. My favorite couple is from season seven, Serena and Joe, who have the cutest youtube channel.Â
Survivor is a fan-loved show that has been on the air since 2000 for 43 seasons. The challenges and atmosphere are brutal, but the social game is truly the highlight of watching. The drama and backstabbing keep you on the edge of your seat from season to season. Also, how could you not love Jeff Probst?Â
Love is Blind is a new Netflix staple. The show involves contestants dating each other in pods. These pods only allow contestants to speak with each other, they cannot judge each other based on physical appearance. Couples with connections in the pods can choose to get married, sight unseen. The show then follows them adjusting their blind dating experience to the outside world. As reality sets in, the drama ensues.Â
Keeping Up With The Kardashians
The Kardashian-Jenners are reality television veterans. The old seasons of Keeping Up With The Kardashians are hilarious. Their new show, The Kardashians, is on Hulu. In the new show, the first two seasons include up-to-date drama within the KarJenner family.Â
Are you the One? has seasons scattered throughout the top streaming services. The show involves finding your perfect match. If all contestants can correctly match up with their perfect match, all contestants can win a high monetary prize. Although the premise is straightforward, the drama is juicy. Many contestants date those who are not their perfect match, and are heartbroken when told there is a better match for them. This is only half of the drama that ensues, there is new, unique drama with every season.Â
