Face masks can be a super relaxing addition to absolutely any day, but it can be hard to find ones that won’t irritate super sensitive skin. As someone who suffers from sensitive skin that is constantly getting irritated by everything, I know this struggle all too well. So, I’ve put together a list of the top five face masks I’ve found that haven’t irritated me or my skin.

One of the biggest reasons why face masks and other skin care products can be irritating to sensitive skin is that they contain aggressive ingredients and fragrances. So, if you’re looking for sensitive-skin safe ingredients, stick to things like chamomile, aloe, colloidal oatmeal, green tea, azelaic acid, jojoba oil, hyaluronic acid, squalene, hemp seed oil, or ceramides.

1.Glamglow – Supermud Clearing Treatment

The most satisfying part of any mask is watching all sorts of gross stuff come out of your pores. This mask is a pore-sucking machine while still being gentle enough for sensitive skin. It also leaves skin feeling soft and looking visibly brighter. This product sells for $25 at 0.5 oz.

2. Sand & Sky – Brilliant Skin Pink Clay Mask

This mask’s main purpose is to brighten skin, and it does this with soothing ingredients like aloe vera, kakadu plum, and mangosteen. Some reviews even mention that in addition to brightening and soothing, this mask also reduces redness. This mask is on sale right now for $31.90 at 2.1 oz.

3. Dr Brandt Skincare – Hydro Biotic Recovery Sleeping Mask

Sensitive skin is often accompanied by redness, and this is the main obstacle this mask helps you overcome. Plus, this product is free from fragrance and contains good-for-the-skin ingredients like probiotics, fatty acids, and ceramides. Although this is the most expensive product on this list, it’s also one of the best. This mask retails for $52 in a 1.7 oz. jar.

4. Ahava – Hydration Cream Mask

Dehydration-fighting, skin-calming, and face smoothing, this mask does it all. This mask is made from completely vegan ingredients (including water from the Dead Sea!) and without parabens. This is one of my personal favorite masks, although it is a little on the pricier side at $33 for 3.4 oz.

5. Milk Makeup – Cannabis Hydrating Face Mask

Different from other masks, this one comes in a solid stick form and contains cannabis sativa seed oil, aloe, and kaolin clay. Reviewers say this mask helps with dryness, dullness, uneven skin texture, and oiliness. Plus, it’s totally vegan! This product only retails at Sephora and is currently $26.
