What to watch on Netflix
This is my first post so I wanted to introduce myself to my future followers. I am a freshman Communications major at Le Moyne College and I obviously enjoy watching TV shows and movies on Netflix. Throughout the course of my blog I will share, review, and recommend the shows I find most enjoyable with you, my readers. To start off, and so you can get to know my tastes a little more, I threw together a list of my top ten movies and TV shows on Netflix. Enjoy and I hope you come back to read my next post!
My Top Ten Favorite Things on Netflix
1. White Collar
The show is fun, engaging, and easy to watch with its formulaic structure so its perfect to watch while you’re doing homework. And Matt Bomer is a plus, of course!
2. Safe Haven
Nicholas Sparks is a must for every movie/TV list! This movie is just on the right side of scary but also sappy and romantic so its great for your girls night in.
3. Teen Wolf
This show is way better than any Twilight movie. The men are much sexier but it’s also more complicated than werewolves vs. vampires so watch it for the plot and the boys.
4. The Breakfast Club
This is a must see movie! It’s the story of a group of teens who become friends while in a Saturday detention. And it just so happens to be one of my favorite 80’s movies!
5. The Avengers
Every list needs a superhero movie. Nobody does their movies quite as well as Marvel and it really shows in The Avengers. And it doesn’t matter who’s your favorite because everyone’s abs (I’m talking to you, Captain America), long haircuts (Thor, of course), and expensive gadgets (Oh Tony Stark) are in this movie.
6. The Office
This is a classic! If you haven’t seen Jim and Dwight’s antics or the awkwardness that is Michael Scott then pretty please watch this. And you will get addicted to it you so be careful!
7. Gossip Girl
This show is fabulous! So don’t be surprised if you find yourself craving expensive designer clothes, bags, and pretty boys after watching. Plus it’s a great guilty pleasure.
8. Skins
This edgy, controversial show follows the lives of teens in England as they deal with school, family, relationships and each other. It’s funny, dramatic and romantic. Each series (a season in british slang) has a different set of characters. It contains a realistic view of drug use and some nudity so beware.
9. Mulan
I think the title speaks for itself but you can pretty much replace it with any Disney movie available on Netflix though this one is my favorite!
10. Law and Order: SVU
Who doesn’t love watching Olivia and Stabler work to save the lives of innocents and put criminals in jail? And let’s face it, you’ve probably seen most of these episodes so its great for multitasking.
