Hello there nuggets! I hope you’ve had a great week or are ready to overcome a bad one.
Today we are going to talk about the F word: Failure. It’s an unfortunate fact that we can’t all be perfect at everything. There are going to be some things in life we really stink at, and other things that take a lot of time and practice to master.
Here are 5 reasons why your failures make you human and are actually good for you!
1. Failure Makes You Stronger.
Cliché, I know. But it’s true that a little bit of failure and rejection will prepare you for the real world. You may feel discouraged at first, but you’ll eventually get a boost of motivation to try again and to try harder.
2. It Shows Your Fearlessness.
Even if you mess up, the fact that you even tried at all says a lot about your character. Going after something that you may not be the best at means you have a sense of adventure and great courage. And that’s pretty cool.
3. It’s a Learning Process.
When you fail, get up and try again. Utilizing what you learned from your mistakes, you can improve and do something potentially amazing.
4. It Gives You Answers.
Maybe knitting isn’t your thing. You might be much better at, I don’t know, acting. But you’re never going to know what you’re good at (and what you’re not) until you try.
5. It Gives You a Sense of Humility.
If you walked around doing everything perfectly, you’d most likely develop a pretty big ego. Knowing that you aren’t better than everyone at everything keeps you grounded and humble. Which makes you more likeable…which gives you more friends…you get the point.
