3 Destinations That Took My Breath Away
Before arriving at your dream destination, you may already have imagined how breathtaking it will be. Here, I am going to share three places that surprised me.
1.Night View Overlooking Bratislava Castle, Slovakia
Sun sets are always beautiful, but overlooking Bratislava is something extraordinary. Watching as the different shades paint the sky: blues and pinks sprinkled this picturesque view. Bratislava Castle was standing still in its serious, yet elegant manner.
I was watching this view on the top of the tower, right next to the Danube River. A lovely old couple were there, trying to figure out how to use the camera together. I remember that the old gentleman was saying: “Please just let me take a picture with my lovely wife, camera.” How sweet it is!
2. Chain Bridge, Budapest
It’s charm is in the simple but beautiful lights that shine over the Danube. I was standing next to the bridge with the breeze caressing my face. “What a gorgeous view,” I said. The reflection of the bridge completes the fullness of its magnificence.
Traveling to Budapest in summertime was the right choice because I was able to roam around the downtown area and even took a walk a couple times on the bridge without worrying about the coldness. It was one of the best bridges I have even seen in my life.
3. Mt. Rushmore, USA
Surrounded by the beauty of the Black Hills, the creativity and carving out of the rocks presented the history of United States embedded in nature. When I clicked my camera, no words could explain how awe-inspiring this masterpiece was for me.
I used to see flashes of this awe inspiring scene in movies and on screen throughout my childhood and I had never thought I would have had the chance to see Mt. Rushmore in person. It was such a surreal visit and nothing can touch your heart more unless you see them in a three-dimensional plane.
These are three moments that took my breath away, and are places I’ll pay a second visit . I hope there are some moments in your life that allowed you to think that every step you traverse is totally worth it!
