Amazing Female Entrepreneurs: Aneberry
Starting your own company can be a daunting process. However, if you hesitate too much, you might not make it. Her Campus was lucky enough to have a chat with Miao, the founder of Aneberry, she told us a bit more about how she started her journey. And it all began with choosing her own wedding gown…
Born and raised in the beautiful and historical city, Chongqing in China, Miao has been a passionate and curious young lady since she was a college student. After finishing her exchange student programme at Soochow University, Taiwan, a feeling of wanderlust grew inside her and led her to Goldsmith, the University of London for her MA degree. Six years later, London embraced her with a brand-new role, an outstanding female entrepreneur.
Miao decided to start Aneberry when she was looking for her own wedding dress. She was faced with the crisis of being unable to find the perfect dress anywhere in the market ended up becoming a challenge to make the perfect dress on her own. Now, she helps other brides to shine gorgeously on their wedding days.
Practicability, Creativity, and Positivity.
Miao told us that she believed the ‘just-do-it’ attitude is the key to be an entrepreneur. There is no the so-called ‘right time’ to execute your ideas. As a successful founder of a company, you need to be creative, thinking of the potential market, and be confident to compete with other large companies. Aneberry tailors every wedding dress for brides who wish to show their elegance and stand out their charm at a decent price.
Think for the long term, talk to people, and be willing to take risks
Being an entrepreneur, Miao pointed out that it requires patience and careful evaluation to examine the risks. That is, it may take months, or even years to see the expected outcomes. You need to plan it thoroughly and ask yourself, “How many risks am I willing to take? Am I prepared if I fail?”
Social responsibility and market expansion
London, a city full of energy and diversity, empowered Miao to carry out her ambition to grow Aneberry to an international brand and she is looking to expand her products to bridesmaid gowns and bridal jewellery. Most importantly, Miao hopes that Aneberry can one day fulfil their social responsibility by co-operating with NGO to prevent arranged marriages worldwide. She firmly believes that every woman should have the right to be the happiest bride on their wedding day and in their marriage life.
Are you the next female entrepreneur? Miao started her own company at the early stage of her life. Her story inspires every strong and ambitious young woman. The truth is you don’t have to start when you are fully ready. Start it and things will come along.
