Dougie is the King of the Jungle – After three weeks of anus eating, slime and creepy crawlies, this years’ I’m a Celebrity get me out of here came to an end this weekend with McFly’s bassist Dougie Poynter being crowned the winner. It was a close finish between Dougie and TOWIE’s Mark Wright who was the bookies favourite from the beginning, but Dougie won over audiences after the couple endured the infamous eating task in the final episode.
Kourtney Kardashian Pregnant – It was a different member of the Kardashian clan who was hit headlines this week after Kourtney announced that she is pregnant with her second child. Kim and her partner Scott Disick are so thrilled with the news that they announced it to the media at only 9 weeks into the pregnancy as opposed to the usual 12 weeks of other up the duff celebs. Kourtney is the eldest of the Kardashian sisters, who on Keeping Up With The Kardashians are shown to have issues with Kourtney’s choice in boyfriend.
Grammy Nominations – The 2012 Grammy Award nominations were announced this week, and there were no surprises of the acts which were called out the most. Adele, flying the flag for the UK has received a whopping six nominations including best song and best album, whilst British band Mumford and Sons are in the running in four categories. Other big acts in the running include The Foo Fighters and Bruno Mars who are also both nominated for six awards. The award ceremony will take place in Los Angeles in February.
Katie Price and Peter Andre Drama – The well known feud between Jordan and Peter Andre since their divorce in 2009 extended to the High Court in London this week, as Katie Price was made to pay libel damages to her ex-husband due to his claims that she lied in interviews about him following their divorce. Katie Price apparently said in interviews to Heat Magazine and on the Graham Norton show that Peter had cheated on her, and claimed that his feelings about his step-son Harvey were not genuine. Since publicly apologising to Peter, Katie has confirmed that she regrets making the comments.
Jeremy Clarkson on Public Sector Workers – Jeremy Clarkson’s appearance on BBC 1’s the One Show on Wednesday night has caused the BBC to receive over 21000 complaints after his comments about the public sector workers strike. Clarkson said in response to the strike that he would ‘take them outside and execute them in front of their families’, which left the presenters of the show looking rather shocked. The BBC have since apologised for the comments, however some have argued that Clarkson should be sacked for such remarks.
