How long have you been playing basketball?
Since I was 7 years old.
What made you decide to play basketball for Lehigh?
When I was a freshman, I saw the Lehigh men’s basketball team playing on TV and I immediately knew that I wanted to play on that team. I liked that Lehigh was the underdog because I like to be challenged.
What was the recruitment process like?
The Lehigh basketball coaches came to my high school and gave me a lot of information about the program. Then, I scheduled a visit to Lehigh in November of 2011. The coach asked if this was somewhere I saw myself playing at and I said yes. I committed to the basketball team that same day I visited.
What is your favorite thing about Lehigh so far?
Definitely the people. Everyone is very genuinely, nice, wholesome and welcoming.
Linderman or Fairmart?
I don’t go to the library.
Is it difficult to balance school and basketball at the same time?
Yes it is. The most difficult part is the mental aspect. I need to stay focused on both academics and athletics and it is very tough to stay motivated and driven all the time.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Playing professional basketball.
What is your biggest accomplishment?
I was the first basketball player to receive a scholarship at my high school since the school reopened in the 60’s.
What is one interesting fact about yourself?
My best friend is my pet “Kitty Cat”. His full name is “Tiger Kitty Cat Carter.”
