Social media has become such a huge part of our daily lives, so what Lehigh student would not want to know what is trending throughout our community this week?
The biggest trend is of course #LUFootball because the kickoff game for the 2013 season against Central Conneticut State is this Saturday at 12:30. All around campus students have been buzzing about getting decked out in their best #MOCOs gear, grabbing some delicious tailgate burgers, and watching a great opening game at the Mountain Hawks’ very own Goodman Stadium.
What would Lehigh football be without our #MOCOs? Of course Lehigh has school pride, that is why we are all up at the crack of dawn on game days getting pepped up for the games, but who wants to get decked out every Saturday in brown and white…boring! MOCOs are my favorite part about football season because why wouldn’t I want to break out sequined leggings and a pink tutu that are not fashionably acceptable any other time?! So start running through your halls and asking friends for the perfect touch to your outfit because with all the excitement I have been hearing about this Saturday, it is sure to be a great start to the #MOCOs season!
And last but certainly not least, #lehighproblems has been trending like wildfire. One of our very own students, although anonymous, has even created a Twitter account @LehighProblems that is absolutely hilarious! With #syllabusweek being over (sigh!) and the real school year starting back up, expect to see plenty of tweets about the struggles of the average Lehigh student. Anything from the ridiculously hot classrooms and the horrifying midterm exams to the long walks back from East Fifth to Hawk’s Nest are up for grabs with this major trend. I know that I for one will surely be tweeting about my daily climb up the never ending stairs on Mount Lehigh, totally a #lehighproblem!
