Everyone loves Netflix, right? However, if you’re like me, you’ve watched all the most watched shows and don’t know what to watch now. There are trillions of shows on Netflix, but some are good and some are not so good, and everyone wants to watch something valuable and time-worthy. That’s what I’m here for. This article includes the best new Netflix shows of all different genres: horror, crime, drama, mystery, etc.
- The Haunting of Hill House

If you do not like horror or thriller TV shows and are scared of them, this show will change the way you look at horror movies. It’s the best thriller show that I’ve seen in a while. It has a really unique topic that makes it so different from all other horror TV shows. This show was actually written by Shirley Jackson, who is a famous novel as a road map to explore this house-as-body metaphor. Creator and director Mike Flanagan shows a really unique haunted-house fable, which makes it so different from the book and has a different pathway till the end. There’s mystery, horror, thriller, drama- all in a single show! This show is not a paranormal story so much as it’s a meditation on the distinct way grief and trauma maim the living. And it’s scary as hell. I really recommend this to everyone even if they are not into horror shows. Trust me, you will love, LOVE, this tv show.
- The Break
-
If you love crime/murder shows, this is it! There are only 10 episodes in a single season and there is only a total of two seasons. It’s about a detective named Yoann Peeters who moves from Brussels with his daughter, Camille, to his hometown, where the body of a young African football player was pulled from the river. The death is originally thought to be a suicide, but Peeters suspects murder and all 10 episodes surround trying to find who the murderer is. The end is so mysterious, and I couldn’t figure out who the murderer was. So, this is not a basic crime TV show- it is unique, different, and unexpected. Also, this show is originally French, which is great because you can develop your French a little and catch some words from the show.
- Sex Education
-
Sex Education is a UK tv show starring Gillian Anderson, who is TV’s most reliable veteran. Yes, that’s right, the star of X-Files and Hannibal breathes life into the genre as Dr. Jean F. Milburn, a sex therapist and single mother of Otis (Asa Butterfield), an insanely awkward teen who’s having trouble coming to grips with his own sexuality. This is more than just a family TV show or a drama. It has a lot of tension and concerns, troubles of Otis. Everyone needs to watch this show, in my opinion.
- The OA
-
I can’t really describe what it show is about. It has mystery, horror, thriller, and drama in it. It is an American mystery drama web television series with science fiction, supernatural and fantasy elements. In the series, Brit Marling stars as a young woman named Prairie Johnson who resurfaces after having been missing for seven years. Marling is also the creator and executive producer of this show. Her character’s mysterious return is not the only miraculous thing that happens. Everyone is shocked to learn that Prairie is no longer blind, which is not possible. While the FBI and her parents are anxious to discuss Prairie’s disappearance, she won’t talk about what happened during the time that she was missing.
I hope you love these shows as much as I do. Get your popcorn and drink and start watching!
