Beyoncé once said, “you thought I would self-destruct but I am still here.” Beyoncé is currently reigning supreme on iTunes –breaking Adele’s records. I think she just “upgraded” herself to iconic, some might even say legendary.

Queen B just dropped her sixth album titled Lemonade, after dropping her new female sportswear line just 2 weeks ago, and it is snatching wigs left and right.

She goes into some deep sh**! She expounds her marriage, the importance of equality (as seen in songs “Freedom,” “Hold On,” and “Don’t Hurt Yourself”), and explores every genre of music from rock to country.

B celebrates her African heritage while ripping into her husband, Jay-Z, when she states, “if you try that shit again, you gon’ lose your wife.” She clearly lets him know that she would be fine without him when she goes onto say that she “got money” and “her baby gon’ be fine.”

Beyoncé also touches on her relationship with her father, and in the movie she directed, which had a poem that related to each song, she poses the question “if what she is saying makes you think of your father or lover,” she implies that Jay and her father aren’t so different after her rendition of similar, not so admirable qualities the two might have in common.

I am always curious as to why Beyoncé doesn’t work with other artists such as Rihanna or other chart-toppers, but Lemonade gave me my answer: even though artists such as Rihanna are amazing, and I enjoy their music as much as the next person, I have to admit Beyoncé is on a whole other level. She is not amazing, not is she great; B is not even good. She is phenomenal! She is paving the way for future artists, and is definitely putting a new spin on modern art through music. You must listen to her new music and watch her music video movie, or I’m grabbing my bat.

To Note: “Becky’s hair” is a euphemism.

To Note: Also, if you look closely enough in the music video where she allows you to listen to the audio of “Hold On,” her bat has the engraving of “hot sauce” on it – which, leaves us to believe that the “hot sauce in [her] bag” that B was referring to in her “Formation” video was the baseball bat that she going to use to beat a b****. Just make sure you keep Becky away from all sporting good stores. #baseballbat
