While a spa day full of beauty treatments sounds like a heavenly way to spend an afternoon, it may not be the most economically savvy option for achieving perfect skin and hair (such a drag, we know). Instead, whip up some easy all-natural beauty products, made from ingredients you likely already have on the shelf.  From an avocado and coconut oil-based hair treatment to a sugar lip scrub that tastes as delicious as it smells, we’ve got you covered with products that actually work. Follow these simple and dorm-friendly recipes for a little weekend beauty bliss.

Face Scrub

The oatmeal in this face scrub exfoliates the skin, while the avocado and olive oil nourish and smooth.

Servings: 2

Ingredients:

½ cup oatmeal

½ avocado

1 tbsp honey

1 tbsp olive oil

Hair Mask

Combat dry winter damaged hair with a soothing protein hair mask, perfect for adding some life into your locks.

Tip: use the other half of the avocado from the face mask!

Servings: 2

Ingredients:

1 egg yolk

½ avocado

¼ cup plain yogurt

¼ of lemon (juiced)

1 tsp coconut oil

Lip Scrub

Massage this scrumptious sugar scrub all over your lips then let the oils soak in as a yummy lip balm.

Gift Idea: double the recipe and pack into a mini mason jar wrapped with a bow for a friend.

Servings: 12
