As a curly-haired gal, not all hair products are directed towards my specific hair type. But also keep in mind that items labeled as “for curly hair” might not always be a match. For example a product like, DevaCurl but that’s a whole different story.
Curly hair is high-maintenance, but it doesn’t always have to be a tedious task. Here are some products you might want to try out and include in your routine!
- Microfiber towel
- Silk pillowcase
While these two may not be directly related to a concrete hair product, they will help with reducing frizz, especially after showering or while you sleep.
The best hair mask ever! And I’ve tried a lot of hair masks, but this one works the best. I usually use it before I shower since it helps untangle my hair.
4. Miss Jessie’s Leave-In Condish
I had never bought this product because of the price, but now I can’t live without it. This is a detangler, styler, and leave-in conditioner all in one.
5. Not-Your-Mother’s (shampoos and conditioners)
I like to mix and match the shampoos and conditioners, and all of them are really good. My favorites include Matcha Green Tea and Wild Apple Blossom shampoo. For the conditioner, I love Tahitian Gardenia Flower and Mango Butter Conditioner, and not just because of their names.
6. Olaplex No.8
A little bit of this goes a long way and can be used as leave-in conditioner and doesn’t have to be rinsed out.
7. Briogeo Superfoods Mango + Cherry Balancing Shampoo + Conditioner Duo for Oil Control
This conditioner will make your hair perfect and smells so good too!
All these products will do your curls good, but whenever you want to give your curls a break, deep condition with the SheaMoisture Restore Masque for about an hour before you shower. Then, avoid any product after washing, just scrunch!
