Just picture it: you’re relaxing in a massage chair getting your mani pedi. You’ve got no worry in the world.  Well, except for the test the next day, and getting done in time to go to work. Oh, and of course you can’t forget about the outrageous price that will inevitably cause your bank account to go dry. The idea of going to a nail salon paints a great picture if you have the time and money. As a college student, I don’t have much of either, which is why I use Color Street Nail Strips.

This company sells sticker-like nail strips that are made of 100% nail polish.  Each set comes with a range of sizes that can be stretched gently to perfectly fit your specific nail size.  Convenience is key with this product because you can use it almost anywhere and it doesn’t require any drying time. Using stickers instead of true nail polish has allowed me to keep my nails looking well-manicured on even my busiest, most stressful days.  And you know what they say: “life isn’t perfect but you’re nails can be.”

Not only do I not have the time to go sit in a salon for hours, but it isn’t in my budget. These nail strips, on the other hand, range from $11-$14 a piece. This is less than half of what I would normally spend. Along with this low price and sales, it’s easy to afford to keep your nails prepped and ready to go.

I know what you’re thinking. You get what you pay for. I can honestly say this isn’t the case. These nail strips keep in tact for up to ten days, though mine have lasted for about up to two weeks depending on what you do in your day to day lifestyle.  Nail polish normally chips away and forces you to need constant touch-ups throughout the week. With Color Street, you can have the luxury of doing your nails in confidence that they’ll be manicured for almost two weeks.

From solid colors, glitters, nail designs, and french manicures, you can find the perfect set for you. They have a variety of types for people who stick to the subtle side as well as anyone who wants their nails to pop! Depending on time of year, this brand even releases collections that are a perfect fit for every season. Right now they currently have the Halloween and Fall Collection released, so you’re nails can be ready to go for spooky season.

Not only do they release season based collections, but Color Street is repeatedly announcing nail sets that will raise money for a nonprofit.  Currently, their nail strips “Hope Blooms” and “Positively Pink” are raising money for multiple breast cancer organizations. In the past, they’ve also raised money towards sexual assault awareness and a foundation for helping verterans.  When you buy one of these nail strips, two dollars from your purchase will go towards a good cause. How can you resist?

From the low price, quality, variety, and their contribution to nonprofits, why would I ever go back to the salon.  If I go get my nails done, I don’t have the time or money to make get pampered every two weeks. With Color Street, I’m able to have gorgeous unique nails at a low price. To me, it doesn’t get better than that.

As a little girl, I spent hours writing stories. Obviously they weren't exactly bestsellers, but it was my passion nevertheless. I would fill up my notebooks with everything I didn't know how to say out loud, and anything I could imagine. Now, as a college student, I'm chasing my dream one word at a time. I'm currently studying English and Marketing, with the intention of becoming an editor.
