11 Ways to Relax During Thanksgiving Break

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at LUC chapter.

Thanksgiving Break: the time of year to relax with family, eat plenty of turkey and mashed potatoes to your heart’s content, and not worry about school.

Don’t feel like you need to stress yourself out studying for finals during this time! Take the majority of this break to slow down the pace of your hectic life! Here’s a list of 11 ideas to help you reach your zen over Thanksgiving Break:

1. Go for a run

…Or just walk. (Horizontal running works too).

2. Catch up on your favorite television show.

It’s okay to cry over your favorite characters breaking up. We’ve all been there.

3. Eat all of your favorite foods.

You can’t get that kind of quality in the dining halls.

4. Read a good book.

Like #Girlboss by Sophia Amoruso, (a personal favorite) so you can be ready to bring it during finals week.

5. Take a drive.

I know: you probably haven’t driven a car in months. It’ll feel so good to get behind the wheel again.

6.  Visit local places from your childhood.

The zoo, the park, local library, a restaurant, you name it! Have a day where all you do is visit places that bring back feelings of nostalgia.

7.  Meet up with old friends!

8. Go shopping!

What girl doesn’t enjoy shopping?!

9. Have a spa day.

You deserve it.

10. Catch up on sleep.

No studying? No problem.

11. Enjoy family time.

Whether you missed your family or not, no matter where you’re from, you have to admit: it’s good to be home.

So, keep smiling, and have an amazing and RELAXING Thanksgiving Break, Ramblers!
