I kept picturing myself in college when I was in middle school. The majority of my vacations were spent viewing YouTube movies about “college experiences,” “college dorm room visits,’and other college-related topics. My fantasy of attending college became a reality eight months ago. Sincerely, it is not at all what I anticipated. I assumed that attending college was all about working and getting ready for the future. However, in fact it helps you discover what you want to do with your life, acquire independence, mature, learn from your mistakes and many other things. Today I’ll give you a brief overview of my time in college at Lynn University and tell you about some of my friends’ adventures and experiences at other universities.

It was an excellent chance for me to meet people from other nations and make new acquaintances as a foreign student. Additionally, the flexibility of our class timetables makes it simpler for us to have spare time to pursue our interests. Additionally, our location is excellent; Miami, West Palm Beach, Delray, and other locations are close by, making it simple to visit new areas. Being homesick is not an issue for me because I can visit my family whenever I want and I am very close to them. Coming to Florida was one of the best decisions I made.

My college experience is better than what I expected. I won’t lie, at the start it was tough, I was separating from my family and my friends and just the thought of leaving destroyed me. Once I started to settle down and meet more people I started to feel more comfortable. The only thing I hate is the cold and it’s so ironic because I used to complain about the heat so much I just wished I was in a cold place but now, the cold is torture. My classes are fine. At the moment I like all of my classes and I’m doing well. Still, there’s days where I get homesick but time flies. I talk with my parents and my friends every day and that’s what gets me going every day.

My college experience as a freshman has been full of ups and downs. There were times when it was rough, but it progressively improved. My favorite thing has been meeting new people from different backgrounds and cultures. I’ve also enjoyed learning more about my career path and finding out what I’m passionate about. It was hard at the start of the semester because I felt lonely and missed my friends. However, as the months advanced, I felt myself finding a place where I belonged in this new city and school. Taking all this into consideration, my experience as a college freshman has been a great learning experience.
