We’ve all had a day in our past where we have felt so stressed, frustrated and have no idea what to do about it. Some people experience more of these days than others. We all manage to get through them. We all have a mindset that proves that we are more capable than what we really think. Now let’s think about some ways to help us manage those stressful days.
Firstly I can say I never thought I would ever use the calendar on my phone for reminders and guess what; I use that for everything I have to do, giving me alerts thirty minutes before every event. I can now say that was one of the best inventions. So if I was you, I would start off by marking all your important events in your calendar. By setting alerts it gives you a little extra time to finalize everything or move things around during your day to best suit you.
Secondly remember you are human and need your breaks. Even during your most stressful days give yourself some time to take a breath, sit down and eat some food. If you just keep going and going without a break you will burn out and won’t be able to finish the rest of your day making you even more stressed out! You are the most important person on a stressful day and should ensure that you have taken good care of yourself, because on stressful days, the tasks you are doing are important to you and are most likely to benefit you more rather than benefit other people.
The most important one is to remember to be well rested. The night before your stressful day you should go to bed early so you are well rested to take on the big day. By doing this you will manage to wake up, be ready on time and have enough energy to take on the day. After your day, take the evening to detox, put your feet up and relax.
Some important signs to look out for if your body is under stress are, having trouble sleeping, digestive problems, aches and pains, and jaw clenching. These are just some of the possible signs. You should always monitor the amount of stress you are exposed to and try your best to overcome these stresses. You should take good care of your body, its the only one you’ve got!
