Every year for the holidays, Starbucks, alongside other coffee shop companies, release coffee drinks with holiday flavors. This year they have six- Sugar cookie almond milk latte, Peppermint mocha, Crème brĂ»lĂ©e latte, White chocolate mocha, Chestnut latte, and Irish cream cold brew. And every year, I like to try at least all of them once since they are released. So far, I’ve had all except the chestnut latte. Today, I am here to review the ones I’ve had, and maybe inspire you to try one yourself!Â
- Sugar cookie almond milk latte
I personally love this one ever since I started drinking almond milk. The flavor does remind me of a sugar cookie and it even has cute green and red sprinkles on top. It’s very sweet and creamy. Next time you are running out the door and need to quickly stop for coffee, grab this one.Â
- Peppermint mochaÂ
Now this one is a classic. Since 2002, Starbucks has had this drink on the menu. In my opinion, I consider this one more basic since it has been around for so long and it’s considered a favorite. This one is also good for younger siblings who don’t drink coffee yet but still want to be a part of the festive fun.Â
- Crème brûlée latte
Just like the peppermint mocha, this one is warm and sweet, and puts you in the holiday spirit. I’ve had this drink and it tastes like caramel and vanilla to me. In my opinion, it doesn’t taste like creme brulee, and just tastes like a vanilla-flavored drink. For me, it was a little too sweet, but give it a try for yourself!Â
- White Chocolate Mocha
Along with the Sugar cookie almond milk latte, this is probably my favorite. I like this one because it’s simple and you can practically get it anywhere. There’s also different variations like iced, hot, or you can get it as a frappuccino. I love mochas in general and always have since I was little. If you want something without coffee, as well as the peppermint mocha, this one is for you!Â
- Chestnut Latte
I have not had the chestnut latte yet, but I plan on trying it soon. I am not the biggest chestnut fan, but I am still willing to try it. Other than almond milk of course, I don’t usually enjoy drinks with nut flavoring. However, if this seems up your alley, go ahead!Â
- Irish Cream Cold Brew
I had this one just last week and I don’t really like the Irish cream flavor. However, that doesn’t mean it’s not delicious. I really love how Starbucks has made drinks with cold foam, and I noticed they add it to other seasonal drinks as well- like the pumpkin cold brew for fall. That said, I love the combination of cold foam and cold brew. I’ve even copied the cold foam recipe and made some for coffees at home. I totally recommend this one!Â
I believe that all of the different drinks really capture the spirit of the holidays in their own way. And while some are more classic or festive than others, they all do a great job of this. So next time you are in a Starbucks, instead of buying your usual go-to, try one of these festive flavors! Happy holidays!Â
