If you are wanting to know what’s “in” or for tips to spruce up your fall style. Look no further. The top 6 list of the latest trends for 2022 is here to help you! Though many may be similar, they also have something to bring. That said, in this list there is a little something for everyone.
- Leather Weather
This year, ditch your wool jackets for the fall season. Leather is in! Due to the recent rise of female empowerment in today’s culture, leather has become a head-turning statement in not just the typical jacket, but also dresses and even crop tops! Expect to see leather during this crisp and cozy season!
- Suits
Like I previously mentioned, female empowerment has taken a note-worthy rise in pop culture lately. With that, suits for women have been a major trend this season- I’ve even seen a few myself. With belts, vests, and just an overall crispness, it’s definitely considered a staple this season.
- Faux Fur For Everyone
I’m personally really happy that this trend is back because I’ve always loved faux fur for the fall and winter time all throughout my life. I even made my own connectable faux fur collar and matching fur cuffs. I have my eye right now on a tie-front cardigan with a faux fur collar that I want to buy. I love how it can fall into different trends that are already in style or you could make it your own, like I did!
- More Leather!
Another leather trend for fall is heavy-weighted leather jackets. And like before, there are so many different styles for these as well! According to InStyle, you can “…hit up any thrift store and you’re sure to find iterations from decades ago that will layer you properly in autumn”. Even if you don’t want to go shopping for this item, you can maybe see if an older relative might have one! I have done this in the past, and I have definitely gotten compliments on my vintage clothes!
- Boots
Boots are always a staple for the fall season. I don’t own a pair but I love seeing people in their long, knee high boots! You can go classic with this one and pair it with a flannel or a scarf. Or if that is not your style, you can go for more laid-back vibes and pair it with jeans! No matter how you wear them, you will be sure to stay on trend!
- Uniforms
With plaids, ties, skirts, and more the school uniform aesthetic is perfect for this time of year. With this look, you will be giving Blair Waldorf and Serena VanderWoodsen from Gossip Girl. Just like I mentioned with faux fur, I also went through a uniform phase even though it was mostly two outfits. I love uniforms for any season because of the vibe it exudes.
I personally feel that every entry on this list is great for fall and there are so many styles to go off of and even mix and match. Whether it’s business casual, or just laid back, there is something for you. I don’t usually follow fall and winter fashion trends but this list has inspired me to follow the crowd! Happy fall!
