Colourpop Cosmetics is a makeup brand based out of Los Angeles, California. It was founded in 2014 by siblings, Laura & John Nelson. Their products can be found through their website and at Ulta Beauty. They offer high-quality makeup products for a super affordable price ($5-20). BONUS, they’re completely cruelty-free.

Colourpop is known for having creative collaborative products offered on their website such as several YouTube influencers and social media celebrities. They also have a collaboration with Disney. In October, one of my personal favorite youtubers, Safiya Nygaard, released a line of lipsticks based on her “Frankenlip” series on YouTube. Also, the company has an incredible social media marketing campaign where their followers are able to hashtag #colourpopme when they post pictures of themselves, wearing their products

I ordered from Colourpop a few years ago while they were still new to the market. I was in desperate need of a lip primer and a good pink lip shade when a friend recommended the company to me. After doing research and watching tons of YouTube video reviews on Colourpop I decided to make a purchase from them. I searched through various lip products they offered and finally decided to go with a “lippie stix,” one of their most popular lip products. When the package arrived I tested out the lippie stix for the very first time and immediately thought to myself, “where has this brand been all my life.” Their products are more cost-efficient than drugstore brands and high end brands you would find in Sephora. Majority of their lip products are as low as $6. Furthermore, I highly suggest to stop whatever you are doing right now and purchase all of the makeup your little heart desires on Colourpop’s website.

Colourpop’s Super Shock Shadows are crème-powder eyeshadows that are known for their unique bouncy texture, bold color, and fine glitter in each swipe without creasing, fading or fallout. This past week, I purchased three of Colourpop’s super-shock eyeshadows – light up, sailor, and party of five.
Light Up is a shimmery, pink shade that is ideal for daytime into nighttime plans.
Sailor is more of a translucent, warm shade that is perfect for daytime wear at school or work.
Party Of Five is a deep pink color that would add spunk to any outfit.Â
