Romantic Comedies are a brilliant genre of film which has been popularized over the last several decades. Rom Coms are perfect to watch for a cozy night alone, a girls sleepover night, or just to take some classsic 90s fashion inspirations. Here are some of the best romantic comedies for those times.

10 Things I Hate About You
This movie has a complicated plot to explain, but it becomes pretty simple once you begin to fall in love with the overall aesthetic of this film. The boys’ chase for the girls in the movie is what makes it so climatic. A strategic plan ends up working out, where at the end the title sets into place when a poem mocking 10 things Kat (The main character) hates about her love interest Patrick. 90’s puns combined with amazing fashion inspiration is what makes this film so great.
How to Lose A Guy In 10 DaysÂ
This film also follows the concept of a constructed plan that ends up being flipped to be the main character’s real interests. You can see the evolution of love evolve over this film, even as weird as things get. Nothing is given up, and everything seems to flawlessly work out even after plans are revealed. The early 2000s aesthetic heavily set into this film as well. Plus, what’s better than a NYC romance?
13 Going On 30Â
This early 2000s film also captures the scene of falling in love in NYC. However, this film is displayed from the life of an awkward 13-year-old girl, whose wish to become 30 years old comes true. This twist makes for the peculiar actions of the newly transformed main character. However, as she runs towards what she loved when she was 13, the mistakes that she made prevented her to have real people in her life. Her quest to retrieve her once crush is shown in an innocent light which is what I believe makes this film so great.
Clueless
The overall aesthetic and character portrayal in this film is iconic, to say the least. A real taste of what it was like to be a wealthy teenager in Beverly Hills during the ’90s is displayed in this film. The journey of a young girl trying to be “philanthropic” while still keeping her image is priceless. Growth is displayed throughout this film due to Cher’s (The main character) failed love interests. However, what she needed ends up being right in front of her eyes. What makes this film is the exaggerated 90’s lingo, top-designer fashion, and the lifestyle of walking around with a boxy phone in a beautiful privileged high school.
