Ladies, it’s official…Teen Wolf is now coming back! This time, instead of a TV show, it’s an action revival movie! We will again get to see the shirtless werewolves, attractive animas, hellhounds, and bad*ss ladies saving Beacon Hills that all Teen Wolf fans have missed dearly.
We’ve got everything you need to know about the upcoming film, so sit back and soak up the tea.
Production Deats
Paramount+ announced that the show was going to have a spinoff movie on the fourth anniversary of the show’s series finale on September 24th. The movie is set to air on Paramount+ sometime in 2022 and production officially began this March 21st. Original series writer, Jeff Davis, has written the film’s script so we are likely in for some juicy, suspenseful plots and surprises.
What We Know About the Plot
The movie is set to pick back up in Beacon Hills after Scott and his “pack” had saved the town from Gerard and his army. According to the teaser, Scott and the gang are going to be fighting up against what is potentially their most “powerful and deadliest enemy[1]” yet.
Who’s Coming Back…Who’s Not
Most of the main cast is set to come back however we will be missing a key few. Our favorite eye candy Scott McCall, Liam Dunbar, Jackson Whittemore, and Jordan Parrish are going to be blessing our screens once again. The girl power of Lydia Martin, Allison Argent, and Malia Hale are also confirmed for the film. Returning are also wise parental figures of Melissa McCall, Sheriff Stilinski, Chris Argent, Deaton, as well as the comedic relief of Coach. Notably missing in action will be Stiles, which is truly heartbreaking since we will be deprived of the true power couple that is Scott and Stiles. Dylan O’Brien who plays Stiles felt that his character was left off in the series in a good situation and didn’t want to disrupt that ending for Stiles previously made. Kira also declined to return for a role in the film and rumor is that she was only offered half the salary amount as her other female counterparts. Both Peter and Derek Hale are currently unconfirmed to return so fingers crossed they end up as a belated addition to the film cast.
Need a Series Refresher?
No worries if your memory is a little fuzzy on the series details, all six seasons of the show are available on Paramount+, Amazon Prime, and Hulu. Since the release date isn’t confirmed and production has only just started, you’ve got plenty of time to rewatch the happenings of the Beacon Hills supernatural. So, grab your popcorn, find a comfy spot, and get to binging!
