Meet Michaela Schatz! Michaela is a junior Marketing major as well as captain of the Women’s swim team! She was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona and don’t worry boys, she is single!
HC: What are you involved in on campus?
Micahela: I’m on the swim team.
HC: What made you chose to come to Manhattan?
Michaela: I chose MC because I am from Arizona and I wanted to experience something new and thought New York was the perfect place for me. Also a big reason was for swimming.
HC: What is your favorite MC memory?
Michaela: There are so many memories that I’ve had here so far, I cannot just choose one.
HC: What is your favorite restaurant around campus?
Michaela: I would have to say my favorite is Sal’s. I love some good Italian food plus you can bring your own wine. It’s the best of both worlds!
HC: What is your favorite movie?
Michaela: I love a good rom-com so my favorite right now is Crazy, Stupid, Love.
HC: What is your dream job?
Michaela: It’s hard to think of one particular job because there are so many I want to do. After I graduate I want to travel and if I end up liking it so much I would want to do it for a living. I could take groups of travelers on great adventures and show them around some different and cool places.
HC: What is your ideal date?
Michaela: First, we would roam the streets on NYC with some casual conversation while grabbing a cup of coffee. Then, a nice late lunch while finishing off the night with going to a concert or Broadway play.
HC: What are some characteristics of your ideal man?
Michaela: My ideal man is someone who I am comfortable with and can have random and fun conversations with. Someone who will always want to take fun trips or go on adventures with me. And most importantly, someone who will always be there for me.
HC: What do you do in your free time?
Michaela: It’s hard to have free time with the busy schedule I have for school and sports but when I do I like to squeeze in a book. Right now I am reading The Energy Bus by Jon Gordon. I recommend everyone to read it!
HC: What is one weird fact about yourself?
Michaela: If you must know, something I do from time to time is relax while listening to show tunes. Something about people belting high notes sometimes helps me get pumped before a race. My favorites are Wicked and Phantom.Â
