Meet Our Her Campus Celeb: Lauren Sciarrotto

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Manhattan chapter.

Meet our Her Campus Celebrity of the week, Lauren Sciarrotto! Lauren is a second semester Junior at Manhattan college who writes for the Manhattan Chapter of Her Campus. Just starting off writing for Her Campus this year, Lauren has been making some big moves with her articles! Her article “How Brooke Davis Helped Me Survive My Breakup” was a hit with the ladies reaching a total of 913 views. Last week she wrote an article on 10 reasons you should thank your sister which was a hit with sisters and Facebook users all over Manhattan College. That article reached an all time high of 1,349 views. That is the most views any writer at Her Campus Manhattan has ever reached. Because of Lauren’s success this month, we have decided to make her our Her Campus Celebrity! Congrats, Lauren!

HC: You’ve done an awesome job this month with your articles, how does that make you feel?
Lauren: I’m really excited that my articles have been doing well. I started writing for Her Campus because I love to write and it’s so motivating and exciting that other people want to read what I have to say.

HC: What is your inspiration for writing?
Lauren: Mhm that’s a hard question because there is no specific thing that inspires me to write. I like to write about anything that can positively effect other people’s day.

HC: What’s your major?
Lauren: Communications concentrating in Journalism.

HC: What do you plan to do with your degree once you graduate?
Lauren: I plan on staying in NYC and hopefully getting a job in the communications world and it would just be a bonus if I get to write as a journalist.

HC: What is your dream job?
Lauren: My dream job would be writing for Cosmo magazine or someone paying me a ridiculous amount of money to travel to the best beaches in the world.

Keep up the good work, Lauren!
