What has your experience been like at Manhattan so far?
My experience at Manhattan has been amazing so far. I have met so many new friends and have honestly been having the time of my life here. I have been giving so many unique opportunities here and I am so grateful that I chose this school.
Why did you decide to join the cheer team? How has your experience been for that?
I joined the cheer team because cheerleading has always been my passion. I have been cheerleading since the first grade and I cannot imagine my life without it. I love my team and my coach and the overall experience has been incredible. It has always been a dream of mine to cheer in college so being on this team is truly a dream come true.
Why are you interested in journalism?Â
I am a very nosey person and am always watching the news to see what is going on. Going into college, I decided to major in something that would make me happy and that I knew I would be one hundred percent committed to. Being a journalist requires hard work and dedication and I know its what I am meant to be doing.Â
What’s your current Netflix/TV binge?
Once Upon a Time.
What are you most looking forward to for winter break?
Seeing my family friends and pets!
You can find Shannon and the rest of the Manhattan Cheerleaders on the side of the court throughout the basketball season! Thanks, Shannon!
