Spring Break Alternatives

The moment you’ve all been waiting for since the spring semester started…SPRING BREAK! For all of you not headed to a warm and tropical destination, here are some fun ideas for things you can do right at home.

Take a Road Trip

Is there a city not too far from you that you have always wanted to visit? Maybe a great landmark or monument you’ve always wanted to see in person? Grab a friend, pack some snacks, jump in the car, and GO! What are you waiting for? This is your spring break and you can make it what you want it to be. A great spring break at home just requires great company and a bit of creativity.

Have a Party

There is a great chance that you are not the only person you know who didn’t go away for spring break. Poor college students unite! Invite friends from school and friends from home. Have a small get together or a huge rager! Throw a great party and have the time of your life! (Just make sure your parents are down or at least out of town).

Netflix Marathon

There is no shame in wanting a relaxing spring break with only you, your bed and Netflix. Choose a new show, preferably one you can finish in a week, grab some popcorn and get to watching.

Stay Active

Join a gym or if you’re on a budget, run outside in this beautiful spring weather! Try some new activities like hiking or rock climbing–anything to keep you active and in shape! There are endless possibilities when it comes to staying active!

Whatever you decide to do on your spring break, just think of it this way… At least you’re not in class!
