Just in time for the long weekend, welcome to the unofficial compilation of Manhattan Collegeâs after-hours hotspots. No, we do not provide exact addresses because this is New York. We go by visual cues. If you canât find the place, your fake ID wasnât good enough to get you in anyway.
River City
Located on Riverdale Ave (across from Yo Burger), this is the premier spot to find intoxicated upperclassmen. Seriously, if you find yourself in here, you will inevitably see everyone graduating this year getting too crunk for words. Thursdays through Saturdays, River City is non-stop.
Fenwickâs
Find Pat kicking out kids out at this spot conveniently located right across from OV. It doesnât get lazier than this. If you want to get turnt up at a crowded bar, hit on by the basketball team and groped by that one weird kid in your Sociology class, this is the place.
An Beal Bocht
Oh sweet mercy, swing by here on Tuesdays if you want to hear some soulful singing. Open Mic nights never disappoint at this crowd-pleasing neighborhood favorite. The food is the great. The drinks are great. Plus, itâs only a few steps from OV. Any time of the day or week, An Beal Bocht is always a good place to be.

Blackstone
Up the block from Riv City, this low-key spot caters to the RC rejects. The overflow has to go somewhere right? What’s good for you is that this spot isnât bad at all. Nice ambience, cold beers, and Manhattan kids. What else do you need for a chill night out?
Gleesonâs
About a block north from Burger King (follow the park), this is another crowd-pleaser. Come by here during the day and try their mouth-melting Atomic Wings or stop by later for some brews with the boys (and martinis with the ladies).
Magooâs
This place is a bit of walk up Broadway almost nearing 231st. If you pass Walgreenâs, youâve gone too far. Magooâs has all the trappings of a classic Manhattan bar: sticky floors, lots of beer, greatest hits of the 80âs and sophomores trying to get crunk. Still though, itâs a classic for a reason. Weâll hit it any time.
P&K
Brunch! Bottomless Mimosas! Sign me up! Located on 231st and Albany Crescent (a block east of Broadway), this is where we want to be on Saturdays and Sundays. Their burgers are also one of the bests in the âhood. Follow their instagram and see more of their other great nights.
The Local
Directly across from P&K, The Local always has games on. Itâs a great place to escape some of the crowds across the street. The bartenders here are also super sweet! Make sure to stroll in next time youâre those neck of the woods.
The Bridge
Right next to McDonaldâs and the local precinct, this spot is literally under the 1 train bridge. Complete with pool tables and solid drinks, you canât go wrong at The Bridge.
Santa Fe
This place is so close to Burger King, you might still be able to smell the burger grease from inside. Rumor around town is that they make the best margaritas. Their sign also says âTequila Bar.” If that isnât an indicator of a good time, we donât know what is.
