10 Productive And Healthy Quarantine Activities You Need To Try

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Marist chapter.

1) Do a Chloe Ting Workout Program!

Staying active to keep ourselves busy, healthy, and in the right headspace is extremely important right now. Chloe Ting’s workouts have been taking the world by storm, with many different types of programs offered to achieve your fitness goals.  I personally recommend the two-week Shred program.  It’s the shortest program, but also works super well! The best part is that they are 100% free!

2) Get Hooked on a Good Book

Honestly, I can’t remember the last time I read a book for pleasure. This is the perfect time to keep your mind active by finding a good book to curl up in bed with. A book that I have been reading that I highly recommend is “Why men love b******”. The book can be found on Amazon, and it’s a super eye-opening and fun read.

3) Do a Face Mask

Something good that you can do to keep yourself feeling fresh can be doing a face mask!  I recommend this one from Clinique that you can order from Sephora, it sucks all that gunk right out of your pores and it retails for just under $25.00!

4) Upgrade Your Entire Skincare

This is the perfect time to be doing some replenishing, and a great place to start is your skincare routine. I personally have been loving products by The Ordinary, They’re super affordable and amazing quality. Watch some videos on YouTube and find out the type of products that would work for you! I recommend starting with a toner, a vitamin C serum, a hyaluronic acid, and of course, a moisturizer that works for your skin type!

5) Start Cooking Meals at Home For You and Your Family!

Trust me, I’m no chef, but I’ve been finding a lot of joy in making new recipes for my family that are easy, affordable, and honestly, a great way to pass the time! Research easy homemade recipes on Youtube for whatever your feeling.

6) STOP APPLYING HEAT TO YOUR HAIR!!!

This might go without saying for some of you, because we’re not going out and seeing people as often as we usually do, but sometimes, just out of boredom, we want to doll ourselves.  I am ALL for this, but try not to apply unnecessary heat to your hair if you don’t have to! TRUST ME, your hair will thank me later and you’ll be coming out of quarantine with longer, healthier hair than when you started!

7) ALSO: STOP WASHING YOUR HAIR!!!

Okay, obviously it’s still a good idea to keep your hygiene intact during this time, BUT try not to wash your hair as much as you normally would! Train your hair to not get greasy by washing it less! Aim for, at most, three times a week. Again, you’ll thank me later!

 8) Try the Heatless Curl Bathrobe String Trick

If you have no idea what I’m talking about, I’m assuming you’re not on Tik Tok, because my entire “for you” page has been filled with girls waking up with beautiful beach waves after sleeping with their bathrobe strings braided into their hair. I did it, and it is an absolute game-changer.

9) Re-design Your Room

Keeping your room and workspace neat, tidy, and surrounded by things that make you happy and more productive. Waking up in your own space that you feel comfortable and allows you to express yourself is so important, and you have so much time on your hands to make that possible! I find SO many little space fillers and storage for my room on amazon! Here are some products I personally own that has made helped me transform my room.

★ Marble Self Adhesive Paper White

★ Tray Storage Tray Dish Plate

★ Led Under Cabinet Lighting, Dimmable Closet Light, Battery Powered

★ Hollywood Style Makeup Cosmetic Mirrors with Lights

10) Make Something Creative

Obviously art is not everybody’s forte, but keeping your mind active with projects that challenge you is always a good idea!  Painting is super therapeutic, and if you’re just making paintings for fun, there’s no pressure to make them perfect! Michael’s does curbside pick up if you order online, so order some supplies for yourself!
