We’ve all been there. The troops are rallying for a wild night, and you’re in the corner thinking that there’s no power strong enough to pull you out of your fuzzies. Thus begins the exhausting mental back-and-forth – with equalling compelling arguments from both your friends and your Netflix home screen to complicate the debate. If you’re in this position on this lovely evening, here are the five stages you will ultimately encounter (as told by our favorite @badgalriri).

Stage 1: You’re one friend who NEVER seems to get tired hits you with the “what are you doing tonight?!’ text…and you know where this is headed.

Stage 2: Once you’ve already refused 50 times, but you’ve got to admit – their enthusiasm is making you think.

Stage 3: Those memories from amazing nights out start creeping into your brain. Maybe the best is yet to come!

Stage 4: However, there were also plenty of nights out when you couldn’t wait for them to be over. It’s getting cold, the clothes aren’t comfortable and you’re simply not in the mood to be cleaning up physical and emotional messes tonight.

Stage 5: But more often than not, you end up throwing caution to the wind. Even if it’s not the best night of your life, you’re finally feeling in the mood. And if the crown fits…
