As the second semester of the school year starts up, college students always seem to hit the ground running. I’m sure everyone already has assignments due and it may be a bit overwhelming to dive straight into schoolwork after our long winter break. Here are five key tips I have for staying on top of schoolwork and other responsibilities:
-
Plan out your next day the night before so that you meet goals every day and feel that sense of accomplishment.
-
Write down your homework right when it is announced in class, and next to it write a reasonable day/time to start the assignment.
-
Limit social media and even consider turning off notifications (this has helped me immensely).
-
Study somewhere that limits distractions so that you don’t drag out the amount of time it takes to do your work.
-
Make room for a workout/any exercise daily. No matter the length, just anything that gets your heart rate up at least once daily will benefit you. Exercise truly does make a difference in productivity and concentration.
