The Best TV Shows to Watch for Style Inspiration
By Jen DiTomasso
Sex and the City
This show’s fashion is iconic, and for good reason! Although I personally identify as a Carrie-Miranda hybrid, style-wise I’m a massive fan of Carrie and Samantha. Look to Carrie for stunning cocktail dresses, fabulous shoes, and unexpected outfit/accessory combinations. Samantha also provides some covetable cocktail dresses, but with a touch of old-school glamour and sex appeal.
A Shoppable Guide to Emulating Blair Waldorf’s Style – Savoir Flair
Gossip Girl
I binge-watched Gossip Girl for the first-time last year and instantly fell in love. The characters and drama kept me on the edge of my seat, but honestly it was the clothes that I loved the most. Blair’s classic, Parisian-meets-school-girl style is perfect inspiration for winter 2020. Steal her colorful tights, well-tailored coats, and iconic headband for a chic uptown girl look. Or look to Serena for edgier looks full of texture. Think sequins, leather, denim, and fur — all at once.
Buffy’s Top Ten Outfits From “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” | ReelRundown
Buffy the Vampire Slayer
I often struggle to decide if I want to dress girly or edgy. Buffy is proof that girls really can have it all. By mixing more feminine pieces and accessories with leather jackets and boots Buffy proves she can be a tough slayer without abandoning her feminine side.

As for Sutton, everyone can get inspiration from her – she just has “the eye” for fashion.
The best outfits on ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ – Insider
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel
Although this show’s fashion is more aspirational than practical, it still has some value. Each time I watch this show I find myself inspired to throw on a coat of bold red lipstick, do my hair, or wear a springy fit-and-flare dress. Sometimes looking at beautiful clothes is all it takes to evolve your own look, even if you’ll never be able to rock one of Midge’s many fascinators.
MILA KUNIS JACKIE BURKHART <3 | 70s outfits, 70s inspired fashion ...
That 70s Show
Two words. Jackie. Burkhart.
I have been waiting for bellbottoms to come back into style, and now that they finally have, I intend on taking full advantage. Look to Donna and Jackie for lots of amazing denim, fun colors, and quirky hair accessories.
Are You Betty, Veronica, Or Cheryl? | security camera ny
Riverdale
Personally, I love a show that gives each character a color palette! Regardless of your opinions on the show’s writing, you have to admit the styling is good. Betty Cooper’s pink and baby blue wardrobe of sweaters with peter-pan collars perfectly contrasts with mysterious Veronica’s black and purple pencil skirts and Cheryl “Bombshell’s” red lipstick and leather. The best part about not being a TV character is that you don’t have to pick one look. Maybe Veronica’s little black dress will look amazing with Cheryl’s lipstick and Betty’s ponytail.
