Is cereal soup?

Cereal, in and of itself, is not a soup. However, when you add milk, the milk becomes the soup and the cereal becomes the soup toppings. When the argument arises that soup is suppose to be hot, I say: what about gazpacho? Gazpacho is not only eaten cold. It is, in fact, never heated in the first place. Therefore, cereal, with milk, is soup because, by definition, soup is a substance or mixture perceived to resemble soup is appearance or consistancy.

So, I’ve taken a break and polled a few people. It seems that people are disappointed with my opinion. I’ve been told that I am asking the wrong questions, but I think they are just scared of the truth. I am now going to look at whether cereal is a salad or not.

Is cereal a salad?

Salad is defined as a mixture containing a specified ingredient served with a dressing. Therefore, if the specified ingredient was, say cereal, then, the dressing would be milk, and a bowl of cereal with milk would be a salad.

Imagine this.

You go to a restaurant and you order your main course. The waiter asks you if you want a soup or salad. But get this! It doesn’t matter what you say because you’re getting cereal either way.

In conclusion, cereal – a delicious snack, meal, soup, and salad – can be enjoyed at any time of the day.
