Class president is basically in charge of planning four events a semester for the class and making sure students concerned are always heard and acted upon. They also serve as a senator, being a part of big decisions on campus and bringing change!
My favorite memory at Marist is the day I found out I was elected class president, I knew this was an amazing opportunity and I couldn’t wait to be more involved in the Student Government Association (SGA). That same day I found out I would be a buyer for Mporium, and all of these amazing things made me realize how truly blessed I am and how hard I would have to work this semester.
SGA was something that caught my attention when I first came here, and I knew I wanted to take on a big role and be part of board that serves over 1,000 students.Â
Through SGA I’ve learned that it takes a lot to run our school and keep things in line. Without student government, Marist could not run the way it does. We are an essential entity on campus, one that I am proud to be a part of.Â
