Celebrities Keep it Hot
Lately, there has been a buzz around putting chefs and celebrities to the test on who can cook a better specialty dish. I was so intrigued that I wanted to put the recipes to the test and was overly satisfied at the results! For the main course, I decided to try Kylie Jenner’s Shrimp Tacos. The recipe calls for:
- 2 pounds of fresh shrimp (cut into thirds)
- Canola oil
- 4 cups of diced onions
- 4 cups of diced tomatoes
- Old Bay seasoning
- Onion powder
- 2 cups of chopped cilantro
- 2 tbsp. olive oil
- White corn tortillas
Here is the step-by-step recipe:
- Sautee tomatoes, onions, and cilantro in olive oil on low-medium heat
- Season the shrimp in Old Bay seasoning and onion powder in a separate bowl
- Add the seasoned shrimp to the pan and allow to fully cook
- Add canola oil to a separate pan on medium heat
- Fry the corn tortillas in folded shape
- Set aside on a plate lined with paper towels
- Fill tortillas shells with shrimp filling
You can top it with any of these:
- Shredded Mexican cheese
- Green onion
- Lime
- Salsa
- Sour cream
Or go the extra mile and top it off with Beyoncé’s guacamole recipe:
- 2 Ripe Avocados
- Salt and Pepper to taste
- 1 small Onion
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Lime juice
- 1 Garlic clove
- 1 small Tomato
You can also eat this as an appetizer prior to eating the tacos!
