Thanksgiving Break Ideas
Thanksgiving break is the perfect excuse to escape your troubles and enjoy the comfort of being home. Sadly, your time off isn’t as long as most would like, but there are ways to make the most out of your time in matter of a couple of days. Here are some suggestions on how to spend your break in the most efficient and relaxing way possible.Â
Think about seasonal clothingÂ
This is your time to declutter your closet and bring all your summer clothes home to make room for your new fall pieces!
FriendsgivingÂ
The best way to catch up and get together with friends, plus the addition of food! It’s a win-win for everyone! Yum!
LaundryÂ
Just because your parents miss you… along with doing your chores.
Go to an apple orchardÂ
To any slackers who focused strictly on the scares leading up to Halloween, now is your time to participate in the fall aesthetic and take those cute fall pictures!
Go to churchÂ
WE ALL NEED JESUS! This is something I am definitely guilty in slacking in when it comes to finding the motivation to wake up early on Sunday from a tiresome Saturday night before. Make your parents proud.
WorkÂ
At least for half a day. We all know college has made us broke, might as well compensate for those frequently lost expenses. Seeing your paycheck once the Thanksgiving season is over will be the most rewarding surprise you will ever receive in your bank account until Christmas!
Enjoy family timeÂ
Whether it consists of a movie night or a game night, or a sit down dinner spent together, make sure to spend quality time with the people who probably admit it the least. Deep down they appreciate it!
Go shoppingÂ
Black Friday and Cyber Monday is an exhilarating experience in itself that will help get a majority of your holiday shopping done in a fraction of the cost! Less stress for you when winter break rolls around!
Enjoy some “me time”
When was the last time that you had some quality time with some old friends identified as me, myself and I? With all the stress of school and being in a place that you are not fully familiar with, makes it difficult to really focus and give time to yourself. Being in a place where you grew up and made a majority of your memories in can help spark a sense of comfort. Sit back, relax, do whatever makes you happy! A much-needed spa night might be exactly what you need to feel fresh and rejuvenated when you come back to chaos in which we identify as college.
