Going Out Guide to All the Halloween Attractions

Halloween is coming up, which means tons of fun attractions and activities for everyone! As a college student, it’s always fun to dress in costume and hit up Bentley’s or Turf.  But if you’re looking for alternative ways to spend time with your friends or your special someone, this is the list for you!

1.  Butler’s Orchard

This family-friendly farm located in Germantown, Maryland has everything you need to celebrate a beautiful fall afternoon. They have a pumpkin patch, and a farm market where you can find tons of tasty treats! The orchard has pumpkin harvest days with activities including a straw maze, barnyard animals, and of course, pumpkin picking! Admission is $7.25 per person.

2. Summers Farm

If you wanted to see Taylor Swift in 2015, all you had to do was visit Summers Farm’s corn maze! Each year they create a different maze, which displays a picture that can be seen from an aerial view. Last year, their subject was Taylor Swift! Though Swift didn’t visit the maze, lots of Marylanders came out to get lost! Head on over to the farm in Frederick, Maryland to find out what this year’s theme is. Admission is $8.95 during weekdays and $13.95 on weekends.

3. Field of Screams

If you’re looking for a good scare, Field of Screams is the place to go. This Haunted House is the largest and most popular in Maryland and features haunted trails, a haunted hayride and a 3D haunted house! Take a trip to Olney, Maryland to see what’s in store… if you dare! Tickets start at $15.

4. Scream City D.C.

 

This haunted attraction from the creators of Field of Screams features two haunted houses that are completely indoors at RFK Stadium! “Exorcism Estate” and “Slaughter Factory” sound like settings from your worst nightmares. If you think you can handle the scare-factor, head to this spot in D.C. Tickets start $30.

5. Fright Fest at Six Flags America

As if Six Flags wasn’t fun enough, Fright Night is sure to give an extra thrill to your amusement park experience! Six Flags adds tons of attractions, trails and mazes, and scare zones like “Carn-Evil” or performances such as “Dead Man’s Party” to celebrate Halloween. Fright Fest is the place to go with a group of friends! Six Flags day passes start at $40.99.

6. Nightmare on M-Street Bar Crawl*

For those 21 and older, Dupont Circle is the place to be for the Nightmare on M Street bar crawl! The 18th annual bar crawl starts at noon on Saturday, October 29. Grab your friends, get your tickets and wear a costume to D.C.’s oldest running bar crawl! Tickets start at $10.

7. Federal Hill-O-Ween Bar Crawl*

This Baltimore bar crawl is the one all your friends have been talking about. Brought to you by the same promotions company behind Nightmare on M Street, this bar crawl is sure to be a great time! The event starts at 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 29, and tickets start at $15.
