‘Tis the season to feel the pressures of holiday shopping! Here, at Her Campus Maryland, we understand that shopping for someone can be a fun, yet difficult, task. With 2020 being a year like no other, it is important to still maintain the holiday spirit. Here are some ideas to help you buy the best gifts this holiday season.

The Mom Friend

Where would we all be without the unconditional care from our mom friends? Show how much you appreciate her for all those times she made sure you got home safe, stayed hydrated and studied for that final exam. Ban.do planners and calendars are the perfect gift for the girl who loves to stay on top of her school work, social life and extracurricular activities. They offer the cutest designs, colors and stickers.
For stress relief, a travel-friendly diffuser from Crate&Barrel is compact, simple and easy to transport from her home to the college dorm room.

The Bougie Friend

She’s glamorous, particular and has the best taste. Pampering is the name of the game. If she loves being treated to a spa manicure and pedicure, consider getting her a gift card to her local nail salon and spa. Expect her to show off a fresh set of acrylic nails by New Year’s Eve.
A hot cup of green tea, Netflix and a Victoria’s Secret satin robe are the perfect ingredients for a relaxing night. Speaking of satin, surprise her with a matching set of satin pillowcases to protect her hair and skin while getting her beauty sleep.

The Beauty Queen

Who doesn’t love makeup? Whether you may be staying in or practicing your makeup skills for when it’s safe to go out again, you can never have too much makeup. Ulta offers plenty of gift sets to please your beauty queen. For only $49, you can get three mini Tarte eyeshadow pallets. For only $26, you can get the BH Cosmetics Signature Rose Gold Brush Set. With 13 different pieces, these brushes can help perfect any look. Options are endless!
Sephora also offers plenty of options. For $48 — although a $146 value — you can get all of Sephora’s must-have beauty products. From Nars blush to Urban Decay setting spray, you cannot go wrong here!

The Athlete

Whether you may be going for a walk or run, doing an at-home workout or simply lounging around, Hydroflasks are the perfect gift. Offered in different sizes and colors, these bottles will keep your drink hot or cold all day. You can even personalize the gift further by ordering stickers from RedBubble.

With many gyms closing or at limited capacity, more people are finding ways to stay active at home. Coming in different sizes and colors, Target offers an array of yoga mats. Whether you are a beginner or have experience, there are plenty of options.
Make sure your athletic friend has the best gym outfit by shopping Gymshark’s extensive gift section. Students also receive a 10% off discount through Student Beans.

The Coffee Lover

While you can never go wrong with a Starbucks or Dunkin gift card, Altar’d State has a collection of mugs! Whether you are looking for one with a cute quote or monogrammed initial, they surely will not disappoint.

Amazon even offers mugs that you can customize. Adding a quote or picture of you and your friend will remind them how special you are to them.
Another option is this gorgeous Target French Press that comes in a variety of colors. Your favorite caffeine lover will totally incorporate it into their daily routine.

The Foodie

If she’s a foodie and loves to bake, she will surely enjoy an adorable set of rainbow measuring cups from Williams Sonoma.  For the foodies who tend to shy away from

the stove, an Ubereats or Doordash gift card is awesome for those nights when she’s craving something other than dining hall food.

The Jet-Setter

She’s probably already planning her semester abroad or a vacation in the Bahamas once quarantine is over. Make sure she shows up to the airport sporting a classy

Pottery Barn luggage tag. Crafted with grained leather, personalization options are also included.

A travel journal is a thoughtful addition to your jetsetter friend’s carry-on bag. This travel journal makes planning and documenting your adventures a breeze. It is a must-have for wanderlust-stricken nomads.

Boyfriend

It’s officially cuffing season! Give your boyfriend a break from his 3-in-1 shower gel and gift him a Lush skincare set or your choice of their other holiday gift sets. This

is a great option for your brother or any male figure in your life as well.

Cologne is both a gift for him and for you. Harry Styles is currently wearing the fragrance Gucci Mémoire d’une Odeur. Ladies, you know what to do!

Sister

If she is in college, perhaps buy her a Sherpa with her college logo on it. Not only will they last a long time, but they sure are super comfortable and incredibly soft!
You can never go wrong with a Comfy! When you wear one you are essentially wearing a blanket. Whether you may be working from home, doing online school, or just relaxing, these surely will not disappoint!

Mentor

It is so important to recognize the people in our lives who helped propel us to the next level of career success and academic excellence. While thoughtful emails and texts during the holidays are usually sufficient expressions of gratitude, they will undoubtedly appreciate a meaningful coffee table book to decorate their home office or desk at work. Urban Outfitters’ selection of eye-catching journals and stationary make thoughtful presents for professional colleagues.

Mother

Your mom is such a special person in your life and truly deserves the world. Anything will make her happy. Perhaps a cookbook. With everyone still being in quarantine, now is the perfect time to try new recipes. Regardless of the meal, Barnes and Noble offers a variety of options.

Winters can get cold and being at home all of the time can get old. Slippers are the perfect gift. Nordstrom offers Ugg Slippers. They last a long time, and are super comfortable and incredibly soft!
Also consider a framed family portrait using West Elm’s gallery frames which are currently on sale. They will look stunning hanging from her bedroom wall.

Regardless of who you may be shopping for, you can never go wrong with pandemic essentials. Old Navy offers packs of masks, each with a fun design. Whether you may be shopping for a friend, parent, or young child, they have you covered!

Kitsch also offers a variety of masks. If you may need a plain black one to go with an outfit or a patterned set, they have you covered.  After all, who said masks couldn’t be cute?

What’s a pandemic gift without hand sanitizer? Bath & Body Works offers an abundance of choices. Whether you are looking for a simple spray or a holiday set, they have plenty of options. The PocketBacs also make the perfect stocking stuffers!

We hope this gift guide provided you with some inspiration for this holiday season. Happy holidays!
