Ever since coming to college, my skin’s shown some of the stress I’m under, so I’ve been trying to create a full skincare routine since school started. Before using the Mary Kay system, I usually washed my face every night with Clean&Clear Night Relaxing Deep Cleaning Face Wash and applied Mario Badescu Chamomile Eye Cream around my eyes. When using the Mary Kay products, I cleansed my face twice a day, exfoliated three times during the week I started and put the nourishing oil on each night. I didn’t use the moisturizing stick often after the first few days because it didn’t seem to affect my skin.
The products are incredibly easy to use and have instructions on them for application. My skin is definitely smoother and brighter from using this combination. I’d definitely recommend the cleanser and the nourishing oil for daily use and the exfoliator if you’re looking for something gentle for the skin. Taking time to care for your body at the end of the day has definitely helped me unwind, and hopefully, that’ll do the same for you!

Winter is approaching and it’s never a bad time to spice up your skincare routine. In the morning I use Burt’s bees rose water toning water and at night I usually wash my face with Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser and then use Lubriderm moisturizer on my face at night. But I decided to switch things up this week and try Mary Kays’ new products. First the face wash, it’s very smooth and almost milky. The exfoliator is a bit difficult to use since you have to mix it with water to get your desired consistency. The oil is very smooth and hydrating however, you have to keep in mind a little goes a long way. The moisturizing stick was the downfall of the products its a bit inconvenient for everyday use however, I can imagine it would be very helpful for traveling purposes.Â

I can now say that I am an official facial oil fan. I have very sensitive skin so I have always been wary of oils. But, the oil is now a staple in my routine. I really love using it before applying makeup. The face wash is my next favorite product. I love the consistency and it leaves my skin feeling refreshed and nourished. I usually use a prescription face wash from my dermatologist so I use the Mary Kay face wash in the morning and it really wakes my skin up. The concept of the customizable exfoliator is so creative and the product is great. After the first use, my nose was visibly clearer of blackheads. Although it is not great if you’re in a pinch, it is a lot of fun to use. The moisturizing stick is not for me. I see why others would love it but I’m not a fan of how it leaves my skin feeling. It reminds me of how my skin feels after using a facial sunscreen stick and that’s not my cup of tea. The fact that the line is all-natural is a major plus for me. Overall, I would recommend the skincare line and will continue using it daily.Â
