Finding the perfect outfit for a night out can be hard. It’s especially hard in college, when you’re trying to juggle classes, extracurricular activities, and your social life all at once. Sometimes you might have to throw something together in 20 minutes, but of course you still want to look great. That’s why it’s SO important to have a few go-to pieces that can make you look awesome on any given night. 1. A pair of killer black heels
A good pair of black heels can work wonders on any outfit. First of all, they go with pretty much anything. Second of all, they can make even the simplest jeans-and-a-tank look way hotter. And let’s not forget that they can make anyone’s legs look thinner and butt look better. Basically, you’ll look great no matter what if you have a perfect pair of black heels in your wardrobe. 2. Embellished leggings
I just recently discovered the wonder that is a perfect pair of embellished leggings, and now I can’t picture my going-out wardrobe without them. My personal favorite way to go is with faux leather-paneled leggings, but if that’s not your thing, there are zippers, patterns, and tons of other embellishments that can make for the perfect pair of going-out pants. Embellished leggings can add to just about any outfit. If you’re having trouble finding the perfect shirt, you can just resort to your favorite (but maybe kind of boring) flowy tank, and suddenly with a pair of awesome pants, you have a killer outfit. 3. A go-to top
It’s necessary to have at least one go-to top in your wardrobe. You know, the one that fits you perfectly and gets tons of compliments every time you wear it? Everyone needs a top like that. Like I said earlier, college life is busy, and sometimes you’re only going to have time to run home and throw something on before heading out for the night, so it’s always great to have a top that you can throw on and be confident that you’re going to look great. Finding the perfect top for you depends on a lot of things; what you feel most comfortable in, what fits your body type, stuff like that. Two styles that I’ve noticed to work for a lot of people are peplum and open-back. They’re classy and comfortable, but fun and edgy at the same time.
