1. Limit Your List
Do not set too many goals for yourself where it becomes overbearing. Start with a list of ten or less. As you finish one then you can write another one in place. Â
2. Be Realistic/Start Small
Start with smaller goals before setting big goals. If you want to run a 3K by the next year, set a goal for walking three times a week for the first month. Build yourself up to getting to a point of the ultimate goal.
3. Start Now
You do not have to wait until New Years to start your resolutions. As soon as you make your list, start pursuing your goals!
4. Make Your Goals Visible
Set your goals in a visible place as a reminder to complete them. A dream board can also be helpful when setting goals for the New Year.
5. Remember to Keep Trying
If you get through half of the year before trying any of your resolutions, dust yourself off, and continue to try. A new day is always a new start.
