With the snow storm Jonas basically taking over the East Coast, we are left with a lot of time on our hands – time most of us are not used to having! So what do we do with it? There are a number of different ways to spend a snow day but I’m going to tell you about the five types of college students you will run into the most frequently!
1. The Kid in an Adult Body Â
When you are trapped inside or on a college campus with about 600 or more of your closest friends you instantly want to be a kid again. You gather up some friends, grab a sled, which may or may not be a random plastic item, and head out into the snow. The day is filled with snowmen making, snowball fights, and seeing who can stay the warmest. Then you finish it all off with a nice mug full of hot chocolate.Â
2. The Netflixer
If you are not the type to go out into the snow and much rather be inside then you can most likely be found binge watching a show on Netflix or playing Netflix roulette. The day is filled with so many show possibilities. Two shows I recommend for a snow day are “Making a Murderer” and “Grey’s Anatomy”.Â
3. The Productive Type
If you are like me and rarely get much free time in the week you’re thankful for a snow day because it allows you to get things done. The productive students can be found cleaning their rooms, doing laundry, or catching up on their homework. They know a free day shouldn’t go to waste.Â
4. The PartierÂ
It’s college so lets be real, there is always going to be that person that believes the day needs to be spent drinking. Occasionally, they gather with their friends and drink to a TV show or create their own crazy drinking game. You really never know what sort of idea they are going to come up with. It’s all fun and games until someone gets hurt, or wasted shall I say.Â
5. The Sleeper
Lastly, we have the sleeper. This one is probably self explanatory. This person can literally be found in bed all day. Sometimes collegiettes just need to catch up from all of the sleep they have been missing, and what better opportunity then on a snow day? Plus, why put on clothes and go somewhere when there’s no need to leave your bed?!Â
So collegiettes, I’m sure you can identify with one or more of these snow day types. Don’t feel guilty if you do. We could all use a little break! :)
